Thoughts of the Future

I constantly finding myself wondering how the future will change. There seem to be so many factors to take into account that could change the world. I often think of a few of them.

One of the most obvious would be the state of North Korea and Iran. Looks like Iran are on the brink of sorting themselves out. The people are not happy with their current government and could force a change from the corrupt government currently in control. At least they look like a country ready to progress. I do however wonder about North Korea, as do we all I am sure. Will the mad man in control loose the plot and Nuke someone before he goes? Lets face it he hasn't got much time left and he may figure "What have I got to loose?" The People around him must have so many privileges by keeping him in charge else I am sure we would have seen some unhappy people by now. Could the Situation in Iran influence a change there?

On a more positive not of course we have our technology development. Everything we have seems to be developing at a stampede! From the simple cell phone/PDA to Multiple virtual machines running on single physical machines. The technology built into a car to the technology used to build sky scrapers. Earphones to the development of high speed travel to space!!!
The world can only get faster with more information, greater quantities of knowledge and a heck of a lot more ideas to be exchanged and debated. This of course looks to a very bright future.
Or maybe a more controlled less private one......hmmmm

Just another effect it climate change. In the near future we will be finding ourselves with extreme weather conditions. We probably would find ways to adapt with technology and the ability to educate that many more people through internet resources. But we tend to forget the about what wars could be caused. It has already been surmised that we may be fighting for water in the future. With many countries in Africa the Middle East and Australia already struggling with drought it's not a hard future to see. There are more and more first world countries finding themselves with less and less water, yet their inhabitants seem oblivious to the fact that they shouldn't waste water. (Britain is one of the worst I have seen with this)

Now days we also seem to be having more and more racial/religious tension. I did think this was something very old but it seems to be getting worse again. Some sort of cycle of violence. Could we be on the way to a war without borders? I know a tall order but there do seem to be more and more people influenced by the ignorance of others. The dangers of having such an easy way to distribute information I suppose.

it appears we have always been war like beans. There is one difference however, most of our past wars have been out of greed. This time it could be out of necessity for water to live or defence against an ignorant aggressor who doesn't like you race/religion/nationality.
